Venture into Catalina Island’s beautiful interior. Experience Santa Catalina Island’s rugged “outback” in an all-terrain, 12-passenger eco-friendly H1 Hummer. Converted to run on biofuel refined from recycled vegetable oil collected from local restaurants, this Hummer is “green.” This is the only scheduled off-road tour that travels into beautiful Cape Canyon and the steep, rugged Sheep Chute where Catalina’s bison can frequently be seen.
This tour ventures through scenic Middle Ranch Canyon and explores Cape Canyon in the heart of Catalina’s interior. You’ll see the Middle Ranch habitat of the American Bald Eagle. Then it’s down the rocky, rugged Sheep Chute to scenic Little Harbor on the windward side of the island for spectacular views. You’ll explore truly unique “roads” no other tour company is able to access. You’ll travel to the Airport-in-the-Sky, 1600 feet above sea level where you will have the opportunity to purchase light snacks at the Airport’s DC-3 Cafe or admire the Conservancy Nature Center’s educational displays.
10% of the proceeds go to support the Catalina Island Conservancy.

"We've taken a few of the scenic tours on the island before, so we were skeptical about doing a 3rd one, thinking it would be similar. We were wrong! We couldn't get enough of the beautiful views, the rich history and our tour guide Charles was hilarious! This was an adventure worth taking."
