Prepare to meet some of nature’s most impressive predators up close and personal. You’ll learn about the ancient art of falconry before having the opportunity to work with a hawk or falcon. The bird will land on your gloved hand and you’ll have the chance to “cast” the bird and have it return to you. You will also get to meet owls and other birds of prey. Bring your camera!
What to bring and wear: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes based on the season. High heels are not recommended. Check the Catalina Island weather forecast and dress appropriately. Gratuity for your guide is not included but is accepted and greatly appreciated!
Important Information: No unpaid spectators will be permitted. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are not allowed. Raptor performance not guaranteed. All guests must comply with the falconer’s instructions.
Restrictions: For your safety, you should be in good health & free from high blood pressure, heart, neck or back problems or other conditions that could be aggravated by this tour. Please note this experience takes place on the lawn at Descanso Beach.
