Be on the lookout for our National Mammal and the Catalina Island Fox: You have a great chance of seeing bison and fox on the Catalina Island Inland Expedition. Often it’s not if you will see them, but how close they will be. Keep a sharp eye out.
Enjoy an experience with your friends & family: Large family and friend groups love the Inland Expedition because they can all travel together on the same tour bus. Both infants & children can go on this Catalina Island tour. Due to the size and speed of the bus, booster & child seats are not required.
What to bring and wear: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes based on the season. Layers may be appropriate based on the season as temperatures can vary by as much as 10 degrees from that of Avalon. You may want to bring some spending money for the snack bar & gift shop at the Airport In the Sky. Gratuity for your guide is not included but is accepted and greatly appreciated!
Restrictions: For your safety, you should be in good health & free from high blood pressure, heart, neck or back problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this tour. The Inland Expedition travels on steep, narrow, winding, bumpy, dusty, scenic mountain roads.
Yes, this Catalina tour operates year round.
This tour visits places that the bison frequent, but they are free ranging, so there is no guarantee that bison will be spotted.
Yes, this tour is available for all ages.
While there are not restrooms on the bus itself, there are restrooms at the Airport in the Sky, a stop about halfway through the tour.
