What kind of wildlife will I see on the Whale Watching Trip? This 2-hour adventure takes full advantage of Catalina Island’s abundant wildlife and scenic coastline. The gray whales will be on their annual migration (January – March) and we are already starting to see a good showing in the waters around Catalina in the last few weeks of this year! Our six-passenger boat will take you from Avalon out into the Pacific Ocean in search of whales and dolphins. Frequent visitors to our coast include gray whales, common dolphin, Risso’s dolphin, bottlenose dolphin, blue whales, fin whales, harbor seals, sea lions, resident bald eagles, and sometimes even a buffalo along the coastline. Although we cannot guarantee we will see whales and dolphins on each trip, we can guarantee your captain will work his/her hardest to locate them and use all of our local connections to find their whereabouts!

"Capt. Sandra found a large pod dolphin and also sea lions. She continued to search and located a pod of fin whales! The fin whale is the second largest creature on earth, second only to the blue whale. What a fantastic experience seeing these amazing creatures!"
