Where does the Dolphin & Sea Lion Excursion travel? This 1-hour adventure takes full advantage of Catalina Island’s abundant wildlife and scenic coastline. Our six-passenger boat will take you from Avalon along the coastline of Santa Catalina Island. Your trusty captain will travel east and/or west depending on where the wildlife is, so get ready to explore!
What wildlife will we see? Frequent visitors to our coast include common dolphin, Risso’s dolphin, gray whales, blue whales, fin whales, harbor seals, sea lions, resident bald eagles, and sometimes even a buffalo along the coastline. Although we cannot guarantee we will see dolphins on each trip, we can guarantee the captain will work his or her hardest to locate them and use all of our local connections to find their whereabouts!
What type of boat is used for this tour? C-STAR is a 24-foot, Coast Guard inspected center console boat that has been specially modified to comfortably accommodate up to six passengers on coastline tours. She also has all new seat cushions for comfort and a 9-speaker sound system.

"Our captain Scott was genuinely interested in our sea lion and dolphin viewing experience. He not only knew the island, but knew and understood the wildlife. This is by far one of the most enjoyable vacation activities I have ever experienced."
