Things to do on Catalina Island in the spring

Our favorite things to do on Catalina Island in the spring can be summed up in four words.

Get out of town.

Thanks to generous – and long-overdue – rainfall, Catalina Island has erupted in spring time beauty. We’ve got green hillsides that rival Ireland and a dappling of spectacular wildflowers – but there’s also burbling creeks, cascading waterfalls and overflowing watering holes. With a drought-busting 22 inches of rain so far, Catalina hasn’t seen a spring like this in years.

Trust us, if you’ve gotten used to brown and gold hillsides, this spring has brought a whole new Catalina Island — one that’s just waiting to be explored. Here are just a few of our favorite ways to get out of town.

Jeep Eco Tour – the ultimate Catalina wild-side adventure includes a naturalist guide who can share the inside scoop on Catalina ecology.

East End Adventure – Experience Catalina Island’s rugged terrain and dramatic views from an open-air Hummer.

Segway Off Road Adventure – Find out what all the buzz is about while you experience Catalina Island on one of these easy-to-ride devices.

Skyline Drive Tour – Enjoy breath-taking vistas of the Pacific and the Island on this relaxing tour.
